I'm not surprised the usual suspects find Dr Colemans comments so acceptable. It's just a rehash of all the nastiness churned out here day after day by the McCann bashers.

I expect that Dr Coleman lurks about here, or possibly the Mirror forum, in some guise or other.

It just goes to show that a medical degree offers no guarantee of reasonableness and rational thought. (Though of course, Harold Shipman pretty much took care of that already)

This article was posted by triptipper some months ago.... when most people were still supporting the McCanns. By the way Vernon Coleman is a doctor of medicine as well.

To be honest, its nothing new. People have been saying similar things for months. Its strange how fascinated people are with this case when there are so many worse cases of neglect in the news. The McCanns have been subject to a hate campaign when all they did was leave heir children alone whilst they had dinner in a restaurant across the way from the apartment door. I'm not saying that behaviour is acceptable - far from it in fact! I totally disagree with what they did that night and I'm not trying to defend them. I just find it strange how obsessed people are with the McCann case when worse things have happened - what about that Mother who killed her two teenage daughters in Cambridge? Haven't seen on person slating her on a daily basis and she stabbed her children.

OK I read the headlines and I think the press was right this time.
The story about the missing girl was more important.

Just be very careful what you say, be warned people, the rabid elements of the pro McCann brigade are on the rampage again, any one disagreeing with them by telling the truth as they see it is immediately issued with a violation notice. Sort of reminds me of the gagging of free speech in a certain European country in the1930's.

A lot of good points in there. A question I have is should the McCanns be struck off as doctors? Think about it, they are in jobs where they may have to report to social services when they think a child is or has been abused or neglected. I am not suggesting for a second that they abused their child and I hope anyone reading this does not think I am but leaving the children on their own as they did is a form of neglect and reporting other people for possibly doing similar would be a case of double standards.

bit harsh but true i suppose.. i agree its unbelievable that 2 so called responsible adults would leave the children alone, by rights they should be in big trouble for doing so, but what would that achieve.. the truth whatever it is will come out and if they are innocent of anything sinister what will you all have to say then..

Some excellent points, I agree with everything he says. By the way, I am surprised that lots of people STILL think the parents haven't done anything wrong!

Interesting write up, but all he is saying is what a number of people have said on 'answers' except he is getting paid to do his writing. Someone else jumping on the band waggon.
