The government seems to be doing a free ride thing and not acting very responsible. It must be the times. President is busy with a war and no one is watching the store I guess. We have senators who despite the illegals who are coming in actually assist in a escort service. Did he get a green card from his ladies? Oldest one in the book. Is he now a security threat with his laid back attitude? How about the other senator who took bribes from contractors. I guess its okay as long as you don't get caught being one of the guys you know how it is. This sucks what kind of message are you sending to society? This government is corrupt and its okay, and I think Iraq should have democracy as well. Oh no we will just strap a bomb on us instead thank you very much. People you need to be responsible for your actions.

No, I believe the current period has been precedent-setting in terms of that--it's never been as low as it is now, and Congress' rating is even LOWER than the Shrub and Cheney.

I'd say it had to be lower during the great depression, this isn't based on any kind of actual numerical data perse, but come on people were standing for hours in bread lines.
