Einsteins IQ is only 160 and I forgot Shakespeares one but it was around 190 - 200.

Who was Smarter?

Inteligence quotient {IQ} Is just an estimate of how smart people are. People are always studing things. Shakespeare didnt take an IQ test but other people are experts on finding information on how smart he was.

True they did 2 compleatly differnt things but mainly in general knowledge.
Einstein wasnt even THAT smart at the begining of his life.

I suppose you really have to research this before you answer it because some people just see Einstein as a smart scientist or whatever and Shakespeare as a Playwriter. But I mean their general knowlege on everything.

Which is a better vehicle, a cement truck or a Porche 911? It depends on what want to do with it, of course. Intelligence is too multifaceted to be characterized by a single scalar metric like IQ. It's meaningless to compare two geniuses in completely different areas. Mr. S was good with the English language and Dr. E was good with physics. IQ is a measure of how well you can take an IQ test.

I don't believe that "smartness" can be accuratly measured by IQ. I think it's much more complicated than a number. I would say that Einstein is smarter because he was able to understand very complex things, and Shakespeare only wrote poems and plays.

Probably. because an IQ test measures knowlwdge accross a broad area, Shakespesre, having a braoder knowledge, would win out. However,, if we take Einstiens field, Physics and Math,, there would be no comparison. btw,, Shakespeare never took an IQ test, so the results would be infered. both were probably the greatest or close to it, to have ever practiced in thier particular fields. E=MC²,, Romeo, Romeo, where art thow Romeo,, I am here, my lady....
