Look one up in the Yellow Pages and call. You can usually get a free initial consultation to see if you like the therapist.

Ignore the first person who said they aren't worth the money. Most counselors will definitely tell a spouse when his/her actions are harmful. Heck, I had a therapist tell me that my husband was dragging me down by his addictions, and she told him, too! I think it helped him a lot.

Hi,

If you live in UK then RELATE are good at giving you some advice. They won't make everything perfect but they will put you on the road to communicating with one another and exploring compromises and seeing the relationship for what it really is.

Relate allows you to go as a couple or alone but if you can get hubby to go too it may be a lot more benefical to the two of you. If he loves you enough to work this out, he will make the effort.

I hope the two of you get issues resolved and go strong!

Good luck!

Lx

Marriage counselors will not help people. They are kind and compassionate like the liberals most of them are, and will not render the proper form of rebuke that is needed.

Marriage counselors are psychologists, and they are devoid of spiritual understanding, except for individual exceptions. They are a waste of time and money.
