Back when he was about to "give up" on his search for his mother, and run away to Austraila with Amber, but then agreed to another test and it was positive, It showed Cane calling someone up on his phone, and cryptically telling them, "Yep, thats it, we're in!" or something like that. It looked surprisingly shady to me, and then they never got into what that meant.
So if he is being shady and mysterious, (which we have no way of seeing one way or the other), why is he so upset with Ambers agenda / sneakyness / omission. Is it all a fake upset and he could care less, or does he live by a double standard.

I don't know for sure, but I think it's more of just a double standard for him. I think he was more or less upset about being lied to by someone who said loved him. He pry really did care for her, even though he was kinda doing the exact same thing to someone else, how dare someone do that to him! Especially since he thought her so hot! I think his feelings were hurt in his own way!

Yeah I remember that scene and I think I mentioned something about on here after it first happened actually!

I think that he really doesn't give two sh*ts what Amber does to him and all that but I think he is acting like it then he can keep his cover! I believe that he was talking to his uncle when he made that phone call because of the fact his uncle is suppose to be coming to town with his own story and his eye on Jill. His uncle is also suppose to be robbing Kay and Jill blind and Cane is suppose to be in on it. Cane is not going to be Jill's son! I know all that from the spoilers about Cane's uncle coming to town and Cane not being Jill's son. I hope sometime the real son comes out though, that would be nice, but I hope that is after Amber is gone.

I was asking myself the same things. If he is supposed to be shady , why is he upset because Amber is shady too. Maybe he really doesn't care and is faking being upset to give a reason to dump her because since the truth came out about her she became a liability in his schemes.

Wow!!! I totally forgot about that, unless, he was talking to family in Australia and was his way of giving good news. Or perhaps the writers decided not to go that way with him. I think Cane is legit, if for no other reason than his anger towards Amber (which by the way, she deserves). I believe him.

Its all an act. The phone call was to his Uncle Langley in Australia. He really is shady but right now he has to play the loyal part to throw everyone off the trail. Cant wait until they find his *** out

He was talking to his uncle per the spoilers. He's getting ready to come to town and blow things up for Jill & Kay. Remember no one knows that he's not Jill's son yet so of course he's going to act wholesome & kick Amber to the curb pretending he isn't shady.

I don't understand . The whole story is confusing. I do think Cane is shady and Amber is just Greedy...

Yes I remember that scene, that is when I said he is up to no good at all. I think he is genuinely upset at Amber, not because she betrayed him, but because she almost beat him at his own game to get the Chancellor money. I am just waiting until his story line rolls around because I don't think he is Jill's son.

Yes I remember that. I guess they are saving that storyline for later on. It's fakeness on Cane's part.
