Under which law or form you got married to him in Kuwait? Now the easiest & fastest way to get divorce in India is the divorce by mutual consent. That is through joint petition filled by both husband & wife in the family court & the dercee of divorce granted only after 6 months but before 18 months from the date of filling such a petition. For this type of divorce you have be present in person at the time of filling the petition, but it only depends on your husband if he will ever argree for the divorce or not. If he refuse for it then you have to wait for many years to get dercee of divorce.

Which law is applcable to you it depends on your religion if you are an Indian Muslim, Muslim Divorce act is applicable and if you are a Hindu by religion Hindu Law is applicable. You have not given such particulars to give a good advice to you, anyhow, it is better you consult any Advocate in India by furnishing the following particulars to him;- 1. Your religion 2. date of marriage 3. details of your spouse 4. reasons and grounds for your divorce 5. your place of residence in India 6. whether you have resided with your spouse in India, If yes give details such when, where and for how many years.

You have not stated the laws under which you got married, and with due regards to every aspect of this serious development, you may make enquiries with Indian Embassy at Kuwait for help and guidance in your case.
