It means that there is hope in the end of things. The struggles of the day are coming to an end and there is the promise of renewed vigor with the coming of the new day after sleep has rejuvenated yourself. The second verse really intrigues me as it mentions tiredness from following the Straight. I take that to mean the straight is a direct path but there is nothing of interest on that path, and so is boring and tiresome. I, myself, prefer to follow the winding path, one that is less used. To me to objective of a journey is NOT the destination but rather, the trip itself. Take the long way, It may be harder, but the turns and side roads are worth investigating for their OWN right. You can take your time and actually explore other things on your way and find MORE that will interest you and make the journey far more enjoyable. (((((Rae)))))
