i totally dont understand this
why would the news publish something that could kill maddie?
if the people who actually do have maddie see the news reports that say "new suspects" and they think it is them little maddie will be gone!
they will either move or kill her!
why would they release information like that?
i just dont get it

I had the same thinking as you when I heard this on the news and saw the sketch of the man. But, if you think about it, the people who abducted her had her in public view, where a lot of people could see her. So, by releasing the sketch, they might be hoping that, in their travels, they will be recognized and more people will be on the look out for couples traveling with a little girl. It also helped that they had the cups and straws of the couple and little girl to help identify if it was even Maddie and who her possible attackers are.

poor Maddie, the media are only after making money. They have not exactly been honest in their reporting so far, so saying there are new suspects could be a lie to make a quick buck or a cover up due to the fact that at the moment they have nothing. Maybe they are actually looking at the family and friends of Maddy after the apparent report sniffer dogs smelt death in the hotel room she was in. What ever happens wouldn't it be wonderful if that gorgeous little girl is found alive and well.

I can't imagine Maddie is still alive. Most kidnapped children are killed within the first days of being taken. With the media attention surrounding Maddie's abduction, there's no way her kidnappers could expect to keep her.
The only "positive outcome" I can remember to a child abduction was Elizabeth Smart, and the guy who took her was some kind of religious nut who wanted to marry her. I'm afraid Maddie has been dead for a long time.
