IF you ARE ready for a new administration, I am curious. Are you just tired of republicans period and just want a democrat? Or do you just want a new republican who can do a better job? Or do you just want to pick the best candidate, regardless of their political affiliation? Of course, some people aren't very political, so would you fall into the "i don't care who gets elected, as long as its NOT George Bush? I am curious to the mindset of the voting public

In response to pro-Bush, I am not liberal but I'm not uber conservative either. I'm in the middle. Just don't like Bush.
In response to sherkaan9, is it possible that such a wonderful candidate exists? Sounds like a dream....

I'd like to "get back to the basics" of the US Constitution, and will support any candidate that seems able and willing to provide it.

Sadly, all the top contenders are the same wolf in different costumes.

I certainly can't wait to get rid of amBush, but I am definitely not ready for the next round of BS, which seems to be inevitable.

God bless America.

I'm not ready for a new administration. I'm a libertarian, but I know that if the democratic party takes control of both congress and the presidency, this country will suffer a great deal over the next several years. The republican party (who i only agree with about 70% of the time) at least has some logic and intelligence in their views, unlike the democratic party (its main roots being communism and socialism). The republicans need to stay in power and need to keep taxes low and need to cut programs in order for this country to survive. Ron Paul looks like the strongest candidate out there right now. And if the democrats throw either hilary or obama out there, I will be extremely happy because the democrats would suffer a embarassing defeat.

What I am tired of is the hidden agendas and two faced actions of congress and senate. The facts came in on Iraq, all the components to assemble WMDs were found, not to mention Hussein used them on his own people, but political games ensued. When we went to war there we ended up fighting insurgents. These insurgents were NOT Iraqis that supported any of that nations political groups. These are the terrorists we are at war with WORLD WIDE. The democrats and republicans both, that sit in congress and senate refuse to come forward and admit to this fact as it would force them to admit we need to continue and escalate the war in the middle east and not simply keep it in Iraq.
Congress and Senate are also falling down on the job in too many other areas such as the budget, by adding too much garbage into it that simply should not be in the federal budget, or by not holding the press responsible for reporting factually sound information, freedom of the press does not mean the press can lie and not be called to task.
I am not happy with Bush but he HAS held his ground and stayed the course all along, showing more character than his predicessor can ever hope to have. Finally and most important I am extremely upset with the AMERICAN PEOPLE who don't have the common sense to realize that the president does not run the country on his own. They as a general rule are TOO STUPID to follow the voting records of their own elected Senators and Congress men and women so that they can see just who is making the big foul ups.
Instead they just blame the President. Had the voting public forced their elected officials to pass the bill for a line item veto, we wouldn't be in half of the trouble this country is.
Bottom line? Blame the voters not the president.

My mind set is both parties are broken and until we can change the big money campaign that takes place for a candidate to run for office the average American will continue to be nothing more than a whisper after the elections.
Look at the facts of whats expected for someone to run for office now days.
If you don't have big money connections good luck getting your name and message out there to the masses.
The setup in our government right now is a sweet deal for those who have such powerful connections.
No money no media.
Not in the club? Oh well...When Americans get mad they just put the issue to a doomed vote and hope time will make everyone forget while they continue to siphon even more taxpayer money by having a friend do one of those multimillion dollar studies.
Then when they have all their facts...Do nothing!
Just another big stall game to make them appear to listen and care while its really just politics as usual.

Anyone remember when you really had to be from a state before you could run for office? what ever happened to that?

The Republicans will make some useful properties in 2010. they won't earnings a majority interior the abode or the Senate. If the economic device keeps to recuperate on the instant fee Obama will maximum in all risk be re-elected. If the Republicans nominate an extremist or a nut case in 2012, Obama will win via a landslide.

if you are gazing the mind set of the voters, than possibly you are trying to get inputs for one of the the candidates in the run to refine the poll campaign! right am i not?
the answer to your query is quite simple. republicans, democrats are only words for the general people. what we all look for is a decent human being who is aware of the woes of the common citizen and has the moral courage to do something about them. what hat he wears or which party he represents is of little consequence.
may GOD give us such a candidate to vote for!!!!!!!!!

Yes I am ready for someone else. Someone who is going to enforce immigration laws not change them.
Make no mistake whom ever gets elected will only serve 4 years in office. There will be tax hikes to pay for this way. Tax hikes means that the person will only see one term in office.
Keeping my eyes open to see what independenta are going to be running. Maybe it's time we send the politicians both republican and democrat that they are in office and working for us if they don't want to be our voices then they aren't going to win. Time to take our country back.

Oligarchy and Corpoate Fascism have led us where we are today.

There is ONE party now in America the CORPORATE party.

The children of the elite become wealthy and the childern of the average Americans go fight and die in their wars.

In response to your question I think America is better run by the people.

Remember the way Americans used to think:

Government is the servent of the people,

The Gov't should fear the people NOT the other way around.

I don't want "a new administration" I want my COUNTRY back!

Hillary/Rudy/Obama/ and all the other people that want to destroy this country sound just like BUSH because they LIE.

Listen to Ron Paul debate anyone, he sounds so different it is because we haven't heard a politician tell the TRUTH in a LONG time!

(That is why we LOVE him! :)

you have been brain washed by bush bashing media.
to answer you question.....i will vote for hillary to be our next president because i think that she will lead the country into right direction.....many liberals like yourself are brain washed by the media and they have started hating the entire Republican party.......i think a semi-liberal candidate like Hillary will bring the country together and hopefully she will be able to fix at least our health care system which she tried in 93 and failed when she was the first lady.
not to mention that Hillary went to the same high school as i did and we both had the same government teacher....MR. Carlson....even though she is like 40 years older then me. i think Mr. Carlson died....was really old.
