What makes a man cheat on his wife?

Now be honest guys. What makes a guy do such a thing? What makes a man look for other women in the area? Specially when the are giving plenty of enjoyment ;p You can cook for them, clean basically make sure his life is good to go, and he just turns around and screws other women. Whats up with that? And if it true, once a cheater always a cheater?

Well i guess no matter what way I look at this i'm screwed. I have done any and everything in my power to make him happy. I have went as far as asking him different ways to please him in the bedroom. He has always told me that I am doing everything right. Not just in the bedroom, but in general. And NO I DON'T CHEAT!!! I've had my opportunities, but to me marriage is what it meant to my grandparents. I don't look at it as a buisness deal as some the guys who have answered here do. Yes, i have came to the conclusion it has to be me. Or he wouldn't be havning to try to get my friends sister to sleep with him in OUR bed, while the kids and I are grocery shopping. But i am starting to think its just him. He's a self indulged a.s.s! And for the David guy, I'm making this one sided? I wouldn't be asking this question if he had a good reason to cheat on me. Since I don't cheat on my HUSBAND, how is that one sided.

Guess i can't quite answer the "What makes a wife cheat on her husband" and actually answer my own question with that. Because i don't know why a woman would cheat on her husband. I dont cheat on my husband.

I have never cheated on my husband, nor did I cheat on my Ex - though if anyone deserved to be cheated on it was him. I'm probably older than most of the ladies on here (55), so I'll be brutally honest.
Most men are really different than women, in that they are strongly driven by their whoremones which make them whorr around a lot more easily than women. They are biologically programmed to spread out their seed in the widest possible fashion, and women are programmed to invest in one family, one husband only. Even those who have control and really love their wife are susceptible to all kinds of pressures, and sex is one easy outlet they can use to release stress. Most men do not require love for sex to take place. It's just the nature of the beast - love them or not. Many of them are by nature sexual predators - who are victims of their own bodies.
Try to imagine what it would be like to think about sex 85% of the time, rather than 10% of the time.
Also, if you are good to them and spoil them by cooking nice meals, good sex and good company, it does not necessarily mean that they will be greatful or even appreciative. People usually value that which they cannot have more than what they have.
A cheater can be reformed over time with enough love, once he realizes that this stupid game of chasing every skirt becomes a royal bore at age 40-something.

Answer would be it's because of the woman. I am not saying that it is always the woman as there are some men that will have sex with anything and everything that walks by them. But for those that are not like that it is the woman they are with.

There are a few different reasons. One is either the woman is not giving him enough sex or is not giving him the type of sex that he wants. Which means the solution to keep this from happening is to make sure you put out enough. And determine how he wants it, there are many different fetishes out there and everyone usually has a few of them. Most people will not come straight out and say what they want, because it embarasses them. So you would need to be persistant and non judgemental when he does answer.

The other reason is usually because the woman has pushed him away. I'm not talking about turning him down for sex. Quite simply often a man will try his darndest to make his woman happy, and it can often seem like he is failing to do so. What i mean here is she always seems to be complaining about something, he isn't doing enough for her, he isn't showing her that he loves her, she'll get hurt because of it, and this just ends up making him feel like crap because the last thing he ever intended to do was hurt her. Over enough time, the guy will actually seek out an affair with a woman that will actually make him feel as if he is doing something right.

Probably the same things that make a woman cheat. Statistically, women are just as likely (more likely) to cheat but the men get the bad rap for it?

I do believe that a person who cheats once is going to cheat again. But I blame it in part on a failure to communicate within the relationship. As a matter of self respect and honor, the person should not make a commitment they don't intend to keep. Nor should they stay in a relationship that does not fulfill their needs.

In almost every case, cheating is the result of failures of both people. Some need is not fulfilled and often not communicated. It does not make the inherent dishonesty any more right, it simply accepts that there is more blame than is usually accepted.

Nothing makes a man cheat it is a choice because he wants to. There are no reasons or excuses if he thinks to do it and acts out on it. You could be the sexiest woman in the world and be drop dead gorgeous but even then it doesn't matter if he is in for the thrill of the challenge and wanting something different. Some are just not happy with one woman sexually while others are sex addicts. Once a man cheats on his wife nothing is the same in the relationship even if he claims he would never do it again. The trust is broken and is never restored like it was before it happened. Some do stop depending on how remorseful they feel while others do not. It doesn't matter at this point because you will always look at him differently and always feel you have to watch over your shoulder. It's never right from the first episode of cheating because you never know if they will do it again.

My Dad was cheat...married three times and his third marriage I heard from his first wife that he was cheating on the third wife pathethic...My dad was an only child my Grandmother had like three miscarriages before she had him in her eyes it was all the womens fault and her son could do no wrong...he hurt many people his wives, his children etc...in the process..My grandmother on My Moms side always said to me in any Marriage there are two sides to every story and then there is the Truth..........Men and women alike can be adulterers we are human it can happen and we can not make judgements because we are not God life is tough enough my father knows what he is that is why he can't face me...His only daughter and 5 1/2 brothers............Life is strange.......But when a man cheats its because he is extremely insecure and cheating makes them feel better......You can see a player or someone that needs lots of attention ....its also about power too they do it.....control.................. Whats that saying if you feed the dog at home they will not wonder out...but some men and women alike need so much attention those are the ones you never date or marry hahehe Like and international superstar hahaha....the more attention that you can not give them they will find it some where else they do not care about who they are hurting just thinking about themselves its so wrong but you know what ....what goes around comes around..................My cousin told me about her husband who cheated on her a few times after 22 years of marriage and they are not together and she told me that she could not give him enough attention all I can say for MEN AND WOMEN ALIKE THAT CHEAT GROW THE HELL....UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wouldnt say thats true. maybe you bore him, maybe you dont. some times guys just get more excitement from a new woman. i once cheated on my fiance. and she found out about it, and thank god she forgave me. but i would never do it again. no matter what. if he is looking for other women in the area, i wouldnt think he loves you very much. when i cheated, it's because she wasnt around and i was going up a wall. and then i "accidentally" ran into this very nice looking girl. and things went down hill from there. boredom is the only thing i can think of. or maybe he just isnt attracted to you.

1. they aren't getting their needs met inside their relationship
2. they don't learn or never learned to honor their boundaries
3. always they are thrill seekers
4. some think that they are not real men if they turn down as sexual invitation from someone attractive

5. sexual fetishes that their wives have problem with
6. Their wives no longer make them special
7. most men have the so called defective sense of commitment
and perhaps lastly might be a mistaken notion that going outside their relationship will solve their problem or fulfill some aspects of their char actors. End of story

Why is it that women lack the ability to shoulder the blame for half of infidelity? Why is it they think it is always men and not women?

A false sense of superiority here! Do you not think some men might find wives who think they are so superior in this regard and believe husbands are cheaters totally a turn off and therefore get driven away or made susceptible to another woman's approach because of their wives behaviour?

Try and get a grip on reality - it takes two to tango! Men in a happy and fulfilling marriage do not stray!

I'm not a guy, but I wanna write my opinion about that as far as I could get :)

Men they don't want only housewives who only cook tasty, clean, take care of kids and husbands... they like women to be adventurous, they like women to be creative in the bed and full of surprises every time, full of unexpectations and excitements...
I believe the reasons of cheating can be not enough knowledges of sex, not being creative, not trying to be sexy and clean ALL THE TIME...women have to be creative enough do not let the passion between them and their partners to leave.
She has to be interesting for him all the time and that's why women have to try to be a new book for men to let their partners to read them little by little and let them to wait impatiently for the next page to find out smth. new again and again :)

P.S. women can be very patient for all above and they can try to give many chances to men but men they have a bit animal instinct /sorry men I don't mean to hurt u/ and the great sex is on the first place for men while the love & connection is the first for women.

I think there are two signifigant reasons why men partake in this evil act.They think there the ones being cheated on so they do like wise.
Or they just dont give a **** and they dont really love you and they should all be shipped out onto a deserted island where they can all root each other up the ***,and yes I think if you can cheat once,who knows how a mind like that ticks.
