i have uploaded the html file of the photo to the ftp folder naming it as index.html as well as other names with html extension.The pic is in jpg format on my hard disk.

If you are still having problems, use an FTP program like WS_FTP or CuteFTP to analyze the structure of your web-site folders. It may be that you web-site is not actually using your FTP folder to display images... maybe it's under public_html or something like that. If you index.html comes up, but the image is not displayed make sure the SRC attribute of the tag does not have specific references such as "C:\Docs...\something.jpg"... it should just be src="somthing.jpg".

The html file must reference the photo by containing an img tag. The jpg also must also be uploaded to the FTP folder.

If you have an HTML page like this, where the jpg is located in the same folder, it will work.
