I had never done cheerleading before this year(which will be my sophmore year) and things re expected to be very basic. Make sure you start conditioning/running, eating properly, and stretching. At my tryouts we went over right/left hurkeys toe-touch not too much to begin. Begin learning your motions low v high v right/left L t broken t high/low goal post etc. Stay really tight when hitting your motions and always smile even when you mess up it looks good on your part. If you need more specific info below is a really great site!!!

Another tip that no person acknowledged - I'm assuming you imply High School cheer tryouts, so cross in your nearest school and ask some of the cheerleaders if they might be inclined to support you out for an afternoon in trade for cost or foods or something. For making your jumps higher, train, and do a little calf increases (stand at the fringe of a stair-step and raise your self up and down) whilst protecting a few semi-gentle weights (5lbs at such a lot) to construct your calf muscle tissue. You too can have any individual watch you whilst you soar on a trampoline to ensure your sort is proper. Some different pointers: Stay calm, be loud, enunciate, SMILE, and HAVE FUN! Don't fear approximately being ultimate, and if you are making a mistake, simply preserve going and improvise. Remember that when you get at the squad, they're going to instruct you the entire cheers, so simply be joyful and pleasant and peppy, drink a few water earlier than you cross in, and recall additionally that you'll be able to soar amazing-prime and do amazing-best splits commonly simply from sheer anxiety, so do not strain on the ones matters an excessive amount of.

Toe touch, Hurkey, Pike jump, Front hurdler, and some tumbling usually helps. Like a standing backhandspring, any running tumbling like round off backhandspring or back tucks.

Tight motions. Spirit. Smile.

Good luck if you're trying out.

You need to ask the coach. If it is a squad that requires tumbling from all members, and you do not have that skill you may not make it. But you won't know for sure without asking.
