Maybe you don't have a restore point saved on your comp? Go to control panel. Performance and maintenance. On the left side second icon you should see System Restore. Click on it. A window should pop up saying Create a restore point or choose one from past. Try creating one and then try restoring it. Hope this helps

When using Norton's system security it takes over your windows restore.
If this is the case try Norton's site for a fix,{they did have a page about this. its no longer there } and see if they have a fix.
