I think I'm gonna get some 3-ring binders for each class. Then put in them some of those notebooks with folders in them (they sell them at staples). Then i don't ALWAYS have to carry the binder around, just the notebook, but i will have to carry the binder some of the time. I'm probably gonna use a backpack, and put it in my locker. Then i will get a tote and use that day to day, class to class, and put everything i need in it. Then at the end of the day, i will put the tote in my locker and empty my h/w and whatnot into my backpack to complete at home. The reason i will use both is because a backpack will hold alot more than a tote, and is more comfortable in the morning to lug all my studying books to school than in a tote. I suggest to get both. I don't think im gonna get that hurley bag because in total it will be like 100 just for a bag and tote. So i will probably get just a normal back pack.

some teachers will want a separate binder or they dont care and will let you let you use the same binder with other classes. also when you first go to school, teachers tell you what to buy then they check it.. which is really annoying cause we dont use half of the stuff they tell us to buy..i like totes but then you have to buy more and more later cause you cant have the same tote always.
backpack you can have for the whole school year. also some people can be really annoying and open your backpack while your standing in line for lunch or you could forget to zip your backpack and walk rite out of class.but i think that totes are best! also if you have the A day B day schedule then you should have a A day folder and a B day folder.

I'm going into high school this year too, and of course I haven't been there yet but this is what I'm doing:
Well we don't have lockers so I'm bringing a tote every day. I'm waiting to buy binders and some other supplies until after school starts and the teacher tells us what we need.
I also have a regular jansport backpack that I'll use when I have more stuff to carry, a tote FILLED with stuff is weird and make you (well me) tilt to the side.
But since you use lockers I'm guessing, I'd buy a tote. There's really cute ones at AE, pacsun and journeys! Well one cute one at journeys that my friend just got. Anyways good luck!

Well a binder like 1 1/2 for all your classes with dividers to keep you more organized...a backpack is the easier way to carry all your stuff around school but you know if you get bored you can just get a purse the is big enough where your binder and other stuff fits in, and the goes wiyh your style...

a lot of my teachers make you have a binder for their class and only their class...like you cant share the binder with 3 different classes. plus one binder for 7 classes, it wouldnt all fit lol. on the first day each teacher will tell u their rules and what you need for their class..so you might want to wait to go school supply shopping. you dont want to buy things you dont need. dont get too excited and start buying stuff lol. because a lot of it will go to waste. put all your things in your locker and after each class go to ur locker and get what u need for the next class..sometimes i carry my things around for 2 classes if i know i wont have time to go to my locker. i dont carry a back pack, but i do have a huge purse that folders and notebooks will fit in =D..i carry my books home if i need those. a tote bag might be a good idea to carry around during the day..just big enough for a book and a couple folders if you need it.
for ur locker, you should get a shelf, it keeps things organized..i put my books, binders, etc on top and on bottom of the shelf i put my gym clothes and shoes. hope this helps =D

i use a big purse or like a tote to carry stuff in. but i have a lot of stuff, mostly crap haha. most of the girls carry that kind of thing, so you can put whatever you need in it.
and in terms of like binders, it really depends on the class.. if you're gonna have alot of handouts and homework for a certain class, you should just get a big binder and keep it for that class only. wait to go shopping for that stuff until like orientation so you know whether you need a big binder or spiral or whatever. if you have a big enough tote, you won't need a backpack, because you can put books in a tote, but if not, then yeah, get a backpack. when you're in highschool, you neeeeed space haha.
goodluck!!:)

1] buy a binder or folder for each class, all different colors [ may want to get both, find out what teachers want, and return the rest.
2] put 20 or so sheets of notebook paper in each one
3] have a pack of paper, and extra pens/pencils in locker - also change of panties/slacks, tampons/pads, and a mirror.
4] write name/phone number, and school on each one you keep - can use for diff. subject next year
5] date, and title all handouts - ' Civics [ new line ] 9/1/07
[ new line ] A, B, c. etc. so you know where to look for studing
6] write down everything on the board, and whatever teacher says is important. Date all notes, and star ' this is going to be on the test' and x all assignments
7] file all assignments in appropriate notebook as soon as finished, then file notebook in pack/bag.
8] keep the syllabus [ course schedule ] in front of each notebook - read ahead in all classes so you know what they are talking about.
9] if you don't understand something, ask teacher to explain it.
10 ] if you don't understand when studying, outline it. For a definition, write it down.
11] review all course notes for about 30 minutes a day [ besides homework ]. You will retain more, do better on tests, and finals.
12] take breaks, but time them.
13] gym locker - keep deodorant, and baby wipes - good for faces, and pits!
example
3:30 home, snack
4:00 homework, and review 2 subjects
5:00 break for 5 or 10 minutes, then back to books.
DON'T
go online
play video game
talk or text on phone - to easy to loose track of time.
DO
play with the dog, wash some clothes, help with a chore, do situps and pushups
5:10 homework/study
6:10 dinner, and clean up
7:00 homework/study
8:00 finish your chores. Any more subjects? then do another stent.
8:30 make sure all papers filed, books/folders filed, you have lunch money or made lunch [ keep emergency lunch money in back pack/bag, also tampons or pads.]

A binder for each class is a must! (unless its a class that doesnt use alot of paper..for example.. Art and Health can go in the same binder to save room).
Definitely don't carry everything around..you'll look nerdy! Go to your locker between each class and grab your books!
& I think a tote bag is plenty. I never used a backpack during highschool (I don't think there cute either!)

i would suggest a tote bag to bring your books around, just so you dont have to hold them, because that can get annoying. to keep organized, its usually best to have smaller, but seperate binders for each subject. this will help so everything doesnt just get messy and mixed together. its also easier because then you just drop by your locker whenever you can, and as much as you can, to put away the books of the subjects youve gone to already. this will help so that you aare not just carrying a huge heavy binder around all day. also, an agenda book really helped me in keeping myself organized. good luck, and hope your year goes great! =)
