i have an 86 b2000 that has been c-notched and airbagged and i was wondering if i could use the factory a/c compressor to fill up my air tank people also told me that i would have to put oil in the factory a/c compressor but i just don't wan't it to leak into my airbags or airtank but i have something to catch all the oil so please help me with this problem cause i just don't know what to do????????

You can use an electric air compressor from a Cadillac with level ride, They can compress up to 120 psi but have a low volume output.

Your thinking of engine driven air compressors that are made for air bag suspension. I seen a kit for the S-10, but never looked for one your the B2K. I would pick up a current copy of any magazine for air bagged rides and check out the ads for something that will work for you.

Hydraulics give a harsh ride and are old school. Its no longer 1980.

Send an email to the factory that made the airbag for the proper thing to do.

no because that type of compressor does not have an oil tank so it would lock up. you need a compressor designed for this

your a/c and your airbags have nothing in common. And there is no air tank for the air bags.You need to read up on these different systems in your car because based on your question,you don't know how any of it works.

the AC is for moveing AC gas get a small air compressor for the bags

no.. you cannot use a AC compressor because it is made to compress a liquid which is called freon.. so get a real air compressor made for the application

Why cant you kids just use hydraulics and accumulators, like we did back in the day??
