So I was having sex for the second time with my boyfriend of 3 years-- I lay down on my back and lifted my legs up. He stuck "it" in and I screamed. We looked at my vagina and there was(still is) a TEAR/RIP at the bottom outside of my vagina. It bled a little and burns when I pee/touch it. Will it HEAL? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

It's not all that uncommon and it will heal.

It could be an indication that you weren't properly lubricated, try some vaginal lubricant if you think this was the problem.

Consider whether he had a bad angle and just pushed in too roughly (were your legs flat on the bed?). If that's the case, get your knees up higher and tell him to be more gentle with you.

Sometimes this is an indication that you have an allergy to the latex in condoms or to the spermicide (nonoxy9) they use on some. Let it heal up before you try any more sex.

The only time I have ever ripped was during child birth. You need to go to the Dr. and have them look at it. It may need to be stiched up. I feel that if a tear like that was to heal itself, then the Dr. wouldn't have stitched me when I ripped. Please go to the Dr. Good Luck!

That _was_ your hymen. It will take a few days to heal, just like a cut on your hand, so avoid sex until it's healed up.
