Definately a second female, because the male will stress her out and chase the one you have to death
As for the fry, get a lot of live plants for your tank for your fry to hide, I don't like these breeders because they stress the females out to much

You should most definitely buy live aquarium plants, and why not try brime shrimp food. They love this kind of enviroment and will soon be so active with each other, playing games etc, the female will soon be pregnant. These fish are live beares meaning that the female's belly will be large as a human female. And when she does have her babies make sure there are live plants in the aquarium so the fry can hide because the parents WILL EAT THEIR YOUNG. Good Luck.

A sponge filter or at least a sponge over your filter intake valve so the babies won't get sucked in. A heater since guppies do best in 75F degree water. Lots of fuffly plants like najas grass or hornwort, either very large so it reached the surace of the water or leave some of it floating so the babies can hide in it. Weekly tank cleaning and water changes. I like to feed mine newly hatched brine shrimp so they get lots of protein and grow very fast (adults eat it too). I feed the adults flake food in the morning then bloodworms or blackworms at night--the females seem to produce more healthy young and they themselves stay healthier if fed a lot of protein.
