Even if you believe in nothing, you are believing in something; because you believe that you do not believe. And that's called nihilism.

If a person has an opinion, they have a belief.

I do not believe the world is flat. Therefore, I believe the world is not flat.

In my example a non-belief would be considered a counter belief.

If a person had no opinion about the worlds shape, this would be the absence of an opinion.

However, if in a persons opinion, they do not believe some thing, then they believe that they do not believe, therefore they have a belief.

I think there is a difference between asking if you believe in nothing and asking if you don't believe in anything.

I believe in nothing. Meaning that I believe that parts of the universe are void of all matter and energy.

I also believe in many other things. I believe my company will pay me money for my work. I believe stars are hot balls of plasma. I believe the Sun will rise in the morning. I believe there is a God in heaven that loves me.

Well, I think that anything the mind considers can become a real possibility and then a reality! So I do think it is possible. This also depends on your view of "nothing." I also think that we sort of have to believe in "nothing" since it is a definition and we do use it, so we have to sort of believe in it! Still, I think the purpose of our mind is to think, so undoubtedly our mind will have thoughts, but it is up to us to believe in them. Still, considering the thought of believing in nothing is still believing in believing in nothing right?

Quite so, but only if you mess with the emphasis of your sentance a little. I believe in the enduring power of nothingness, of no-thing, of space that has no things in it but yet is something to believe in. The pauses between notes, your own thoughts, the vast infinity of space, all of these are not things, but are very real, believable entities.

you just answer yourself... to believe in nothing is to believe in something...!!! Ha...just kidding!
No, under the human condition it would not be possible to be a true absolute nihilist. It is just a fashion statement...
No one truly believes in nothing... and if you believed in nothing you would not have any basis to invent a word to describe it...right?

Belief is a faith in something and that something has to be nothing.
So how something becomes nothing when there is true submission to the nothing which is everything.
As nothing is everything and everything is nothing it will be easy to believe nothing or everything.

No...unless your mind no longer has the ability to think(in a vegetable realm). Otherwise you believe what you see....you believe what you hear....your mind processes temporary beliefs everyday...it is up to you whether or not you believe what your mind processes
