A person who is strong is one who can be independent and work as a team player. Of course, this is probably why everyone puts this one their resume :) How can you be truly strong if you get far on your own, but can't interact just as successfully with others without conflict? How can you be strong if you do well in a community, but crumble when left to handle things on your own?

This is another that depends upon the situation. In certain situations, it takes a stronger person to be independent. In others, it takes a stronger person to be a team player.

In team sports, it's easy to be independent go your own way and be the best. But usually those sports teams are not the best teams in their league...they just have the strongest player. The best teams are those that have team-players, which in that case, those that are team players are stronger than the person who tries to be the super star (independent).

In other cases, it takes a stronger person to be independent, especially when it comes to standing up for what you believe in and not giving in to peer pressures.

A team-player absolutely. They know how to delegate, pull things together and get more accomplished with a group. Listening to others can be very informative and help alleviate some problems that an independent would not see. What are you referring to? Being an independent can eventually get old and wear one down. Placing value on each person and respecting their intelligence produces the best results all the way around. Mmm

He who can be both is the strongest ...
Only a true strong person can exist by one-self, yet still understand the necessity of friends/team players in one's life.
