The commissioner of your league has to approve the trade before it becomes official. This is often done to prevent any "shady" dealings between friends in a league.

They give the other owners an oppurtunity to veto the trade. Not only to make sure the trade is fair but also to make sure a owner doesn't get the upperhand over all competition, it is fantasy footballs version of the salary cap. Lets say you have LT and Holt, you ended up trading away a couple of decent players to land Manning. That trade will most likely get vetoed so that you don't have the ultimate team.

You must be new to fantasy sports. It is pending because the rest of the managers in the league have an opportunity to reject the trade if they think it is unfair. This system usually works good but occasionally a league has some owners that reject every trade.

there could be a waiting time because of other players opposing the trade . they can veto the trade if they feel its unfair. The commisioner can also have the power to overturn any trades. pending times usually lasts for 2 days

it has to go through the league first, so if it's a crappy trade it is not going to go through the league. example: you offer Brad Johnson for Peyton Manning and for some Goddly unknown reason the other manager excepts this trade, then the league is going to reject this trade. This happens no matter what kind of trade it is, but usually if both sides excepts it, then it's probably a fair trade, and it should go through.
