Like you the violin, I used to play it over 30 years ago in 4th grade and my niece plays it so I picked up her violin and remembered a song I learned in 4Th grade! It is such a beautiful sounding instrument

As much as I've always wanted to learn an instrument, I was once kicked out of a freshman music class in college, for being completely TONE deaf........by none other than Les Paul himself, who was the "Guest" professor that year. He told me he knew of talented students who couldn't get a seat in the closed, full class, and personlly told me I was "taking up space." Ouch. Well, if you're gonna get kicked in the teeth......it might as well be by the best.

I'd also choose the violin, since I've always wanted to learn how to play it. I already play piano fairly well.

I would say guitar. All country girls need to know how to play the guitar! I actually tried once, but wow, not so easy!

If only one, I would have to choose the harmonica, because you would never have to leave it behind.
