That race today was unbelievable. Danica had a 1 in 7 chance to win it at the end and she may have had the second best car left in the runing. She was GUARANTEED at least 3rd place with the way things were playing out. I think she is doomed to a career of mediocracy and it may not be her fault.

I would love to see a woman succeed in the racing world (IRL, Champ, F-1, NASCAR whatever) but I think that Danica goes about everything all wrong. She never takes blame, only publicly places it, she has this attitude that we should all "bow down" to her and yes you need confidence as a female in a predominantly male sport, but really, have a little class, be more gracious and concentrate on the matter at hand, winning races.

Nothing is ever GUARANTEED, but I think people underestimate the pressure she must feel out there not only as a woman-its been done-but as a woman who is essentially carrying the weight of the entire IRL on her shoulders. Eventually Danica will have her moment, and once she wins her first, the next will be easier.

In the mean time, just be patient. She's as talented a driver as she is beautiful and a wonderful role model for young girls-her time will come... Until then, enjoy the ride!

Danica is on the cusp of that breakthrough win. I honestly believe that. She did everything she needed to put herself in the position to win.

In my opinion, she has 2 more legit chances to win this year - Kentucky & Chicagoland (since she's admittedly not a strong road/street course driver).

Even before "Flight 27" went airborne taking 5 passengers with him, Danica was strong - real strong. She didn't qualify well, and her restart laps weren't great - but that's mostly car there. On long runs, she had the best car in the latter half of the run. She gassed up on lap 165, so you could see AGR was gambling on fuel. If the tire doesn't go down, I do believe she wins. I say that, because I was in attendance yesterday. Marco didn't have a good 5th gear setting, which is why he couldn't pass TK. TK was excellent low, but DP could run high lines.

Will DP win this year? Dunno ... she has done OK at best at both ovals, and still needs to get comfortable on the road/streets. I will say she'll get one win in '08 - don't be surprised if it's Indy.

I don't think so. She just has a lot of bad luck. She is a top ten driver. Dario has the best equipment. He went from last to first way too easy.

Milka Duno is the driver that really sucks.

Danica is not doomed I think she will reach her peak next season.

she is a 7-10 racer. nothing more. she has not had a high finish in a race that wasn't due to a circumstance or pit strategy. she has not proven to have that killer instinct to go for the win--yet. but she's young so she may mature.

I will say that she is unlucky. However, if she keeps her driving up, I do see her winning. I do see this bad luck ending. And she very well may even win at Indianapolis in her career.

Yes. As long as she lives she'll be a doomed racer. She whines to much for God to allow her a win.

At least she has given this sad sack IRL some life. Kinda neat seeing a driver stomp her feet in a tizzy over screwing up.

I think she's inherited the "Andretti Luck".
