Both if he wants me then he needs me. If you are loved you are loved completely and both are required.

At the beginning any relationship is ruled by a desire / wanting. As time goes by, two people learn more about each other and personally grow together ( if they are lucky enough ), their relationship is based now on a need of emotional, mental and physical kind. That is something very precious, because you become irreplaceable in another human being's life. And that is a position we all dream about.

So the answer to your question will depend on the kind of a relationship this particular woman is looking for: for a short term affairs wanting is great, but for a lifetime wanting is not nearly enough.

Wanted

I would rather be wanted in a relationship than needed. Although, I do think that wanted and needed are both important factors. If someone wants you, you probably would be treated better than if someone just needs you. If you are needed, it means that you have to give more of yourself to the person, perhaps they will take advantage of you in this case.

Well, I would rather be needed in a relationship. If you are needed then you help complete the other person and that does go both ways. Think about it, do you want oxygen or do you need it? If he /she needs you , then they will want you even more. It all goes hand in hand.

Wanted.

I would rather be wanted. To be needed implies that there is something that has to be fulfilled, like the dishes "need" to be done or the laundry "needs" to be done.

To be wanted by someone strikes me as a much better option!

wanted in a relationship

It's not a good feeling to be needed...suffocates you having to take care of someone all the time. I like when I feel wanted. It's wonderful to have someone desire you and all your traits, but is independant enough to live life without you.
