My mom and her boyfriend got in an arguement, which leaded to many things. My moms boyfriend was perscribed painkillers and he didnt need them anymore so he gave them to her. They got into it and she took the pills and threw them in the toilet in front of him. He called the cops and gave bullshit about ohh I never saw them, She stole them. What could happen??? If you dont know dont respond!!!

sounds like a he said she said. If the boyfriend is believed then yes your mom could be charged with anything from simple theft to possession of controlled substance. The charges vary by state. If they believe her, then no there is no evidence that she possessed them (unless she admitted it).
If no one was arrested when this happened, the prosecuting attorney will review this for any possible charges. She might want to consult a local attorney. I only know KS law.

His word against hers. feels like not something could happen. What could happen is this boyfriend needs to be out of her existence. climate he gave them to her or not, although, she don't have conventional them. Taking somebody else's prescription isn't the terrific concern to do.
