Has anyone else noticed the number of similiraties in the turn of the 20th and the turn of the 21st centuries? The enviromentalist movements, the slap on the wrists of large corporations, progressive politics, increased social programs?

Yes, My Steve commented on that at the time. He said that the country was behaving rather like an ordinary individual does when the numbers in their age "turn over," such as when they turn 30, 40, 50, 60. People tend to reflect and evaluate themselves and what they have accomplished during those years, have what might be called an "identity crisis." And I think the country did the same thing, perhaps the whole world, when the digits turned over. Why aren't we making more progress? Where have we gone wrong? Where are we heading?
