Whenever there's a shooting at work, I believe that's what has been happening & the shooter just got tired of it. Making fun of people should stop when you get out of high school. Or better yet, don't make fun of people to start with.

Unfortunately, yes. They may not teach them knowingly but their actions come out in the most subtle ways and their kids pick up on it.

After awhile, people get sick & tired of being beat up on. Being made fun of, etc..... It's not as if the thought of taking a gun to work with me one day hasn't crossed my mind a few hundred times, after being injured on the job & being treated like crap over & over & over again afterward.

How much can someone take?? Work is hell but I can't find another job due to my work-related injuries. So, I understand more than most where the shooter is coming from.

And I definately agree with you, that making fun of anyone to begin with; just because they are different than you are..... shouldn't even start!!

Some people are insensitive and think they mean no harm but do not realize the hurtful effects it has on others. Others are just ignorant and dont care about how they make others feel. Thre phrase sticks and stone may break my bones... is so untrue. Words hurt alot and that is why we have many shootings and that is why we have had to start making laws against bullying. It is really sad.

Consider psychosis as possibly a part of the explanation for some of these acts of violence.

For example, the gunman at Virginia Tech was almost undoubtedly actively psychotic.

It takes more than teasing to cause someone to go on a killing spree. I don't defend teasing. I'm just saying the explanation is in no way that simple.

Well, I agree with the idea behind what you are saying, but in all honesty, mature adults don't do the things you say. The adults you are referring to are not acting mature at all. They should be ashamed of themselves. You sound like someone who is not an adult (from the way you worded your question, "why do adults..."). I have to say that you show more maturity in your attitude than many of these so-called "adults" do who would make fun of others in this way. Good for you!

I gotta say I completely agree with you... and sadly enough, in this day and age, it probly is whats being taught to the children. Unfortunately, it'll never stop.. it's the "way of life" and its whats "cool" .. good thing I don't mind if people don't like me.. I ain't tryna fit in if thats whats gotta happen to be able to do so..

the reason is because there is something that they dont like about themselves so to take it off of them they focus on others. and yes their kids see them doing it and the kids thinks that it right since the adult it doing it. and i agree with u nobody should make fun of anyone else.
