Maybelline has this great eye make up remover. It's called Expert Eyes 100% Oil Free Remover. It comes in 2 different types. For washable make up or water proof. You get a cotton ball & squeeze some of the product (clear liquid) onto it & all eye makeup comes off. Then you just use a wet washrag to rinse your eyelids/lashes off. I have been using it for a few years now.

That is not a good thing to do. It is bad for your eyes and your lashes. You should apply fresh mascara daily and cleanse it off completely every night before bed.
If you are using a non waterproof mascara, use a gentle facial cleanser to remove your mascara and wash your face at the same time. If you like to take it off seperately, use a water based eyemakeup remover and cotton pads. Be gentle. You can also use a little baby shampoo as a mascara remover.
If you use waterproof, (not good for your lashes) use a remover especially designed for removing waterproof mascara. Then cleanse your face. Consider switching to a non waterproof mascara. Save waterproof for weddings, funerals and swimming.
Don't put new mascara over old. It looks bad. Really bad. And you are leaving yourself open to a nasty eye infection, too. And that isn't pretty, at all. :)

The key to removing mascara properly is doing it prior to washing your face. Here are some tips you can try out:
**Swipe a makeup remover pad over your closed eyelid. Let the pad soak into your lashes for a few seconds to loosen the pigment and polymers in the mascara.
**Wipe the pad over the lashes to remove the residue and clumps as more comes out. Avoid using rough and hard motions, as this can tug the delicate skin around the eyes and damage it. Therefore, this may be a long tedius process (1 minute for each eye)
**For more precise removal, dip a q-tip in the remover solution or in a oil-free and fragrance free lotion and swipe around the eye area, focussing on the lashline. Avoid getting it into the eyes and instead, try focussing on getting it to the roots of your lashes.
**Afterwards, wash your fash as you normally do to get rid off any excess and to wash off any remaining eyemakeup solution.
****The best eyemakeup remover pads are Almay Non-Oily Eyemakeup Remover. They are only $6, work to remove even tough waterproof mascara, and are gentle for your eyes and skin. ****

The two things that would work the best and most effectivley are: makeup remover, or baby oil. Water works to take mascara off, but it is not the best thing to use. Hope this helps!

use eyemakeup remover. It's located by the face wash products, and it's only a couple of bucks. Put some on a cotton ball and gentley rub over your eyes (don't scrub! you have delicate skin around your eyes and that will cause wrinkles down the road!)

you can buy makeup remover pads at your local grocery store or if you're in a bind, you can put a bit of lotion on a kleenex and rub the mascara off with that...
you can also use olive oil or vaseline, if you must but i would recommend buying some makeup remover pads or just a bottle of makeup remover.

Baby oil is a cheap and easy way to get it off and it also makes the skin around your eyes very soft and smooth... Or you can buy eye makeup remover at most conveniant stores.

They sell a product to remove mascara. You can try using a little baby oil or lotion on a cotton ball to gently remove it.

a really good way to get off your makeup is with vasaline or patroleum jelly. it sounds gross, but it doesnt clog your pores, irritate your skin, or ne thing. just put it all over where you have your makeup, and just wipe it off with a wash cloth. then just wash your face or do whatever you normally do. you can put some vasaline on your fingers and rub it on your eyelashes and just kind of rub it off with two fingers. it works for me, so...??
