My family boats a lot up in Newport and I always see 100-200 foot yachts up there with deckhands who look relatively young. Do any of you have any experience as a deckhand on such a yacht? What do they look for in a potential crew member? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I would make up some tear-offs and post them at the yacht clubs. Offer to wax, scrub, or whatever, If you have a relevant skill, advertise that. Maybe you cand tend bar. Maybe you are a good fisherman and can guide their guests. Rich folks look for initiative and attitude in young people-not experience-and if you are on a 100+ footer, you will be working for rich folks!
