Puhleeze, scandalous? Honey, you go get yourself some nice neutral plummy-browns sheer lipgloss. Stay dark with the pigments, because your skin tone sounds darker, but if you have lighter skin stay within a realistic color. Lips neutral, try to pick a color that will blend with your overall liptone, but enhance not create new lips. You don't want clown lips! lol!
Dark colors work well on those with darker skin tones, but nowdays the pigments can be dark, but sheer at the same time. Berries, and plum colors tend to look great on dark skin. Eyeshadows can be shimmery, matte, or dimensional depending on how they are used. If I lived in your area, I would give you my card. lol;p! I used to work for a major Cosmetic company, and loved showing teens how to pull off super clean and sheer color! Look your age, not your mamas! Keep it natural and soft, enhance. I have darker olive tone skin and it's hard finding things that work, but remember you can always blend things together! Go to a cosmetic counter that offers makeovers and look at the people around the counters. Pick one by looking at the way they have applied their own makeup. Or talk with them about your vision for your look.

*~*I think that MAC would be a great place to start. Some eyeshadows that look great on darker skintones (I wear NC 45 foundation) are Romp, Tempting, Mulch, Bronze, Honey Lust, Amber Lights, Soba, Soft Brown, Arena, & Texture. Also, try out their shadesticks in Gentle Lentil, Taupographic, Shimmersand, or Beige-ing. As far as eyeliner goes, the best drugstore brand I tried is Maybelline Unstoppable. For department stores, I really like MAC Technakol eyeliner & Fluidlines. Also, if you don't want anything heavy, I would try a tinted moisturizer (instead of foundation) to give you a nice, clean even look. I have provied the links for these products below. Good luck!!! ;)

Since you are young and blessed with an amazing skintone, keep your makeup simple and soft. You don't need a lot, you lucky young thing. :)
If you have any blemishes, use a concealer just where you need it in a tone that matches your skin and blend to cover and hide the problem. If you want or need foundation, be sure to buy one that exactly matches your skintone at your jawline. It should disappear into your skin and be invisible, once blended. powder lightly, concentrating on your forehead, nose and chin, use a big, fluffy brush to apply.
I would suggest a neutral shadow with a little shimmer, but not glitter (shimmer is beautiful, glitter is just tacky) espresso liner to enhance your dark eyes and black mascara, just one coat to make your lashes stand out without being too obvious.
A light puff of a soft blush in a colour to work with your skintone. Maybe a little shimmer highlighter along your cheekbones to make them glow and pop, and lipgloss that matches or enhances your natural liptone.
Remember, less is more, especially when you are very young. And also, remember to blend, blend, blend to keep your makeup subtle and pretty. Use brushes instead of the applicators and little tiny brushes that come with most makeup. You can find nice brushes in most drugstores that are a good price and work very nicely. You want to enhance your natural beauty, not hide it behind too much garish makeup.
Makeup is so much fun. Enjoy. :)

Hey gorgeous- the best thing would be to use a lip gloss every now and again. At 15, eyeshadow...maybe for special occaisions so geberally golden tones, jewel tones, and mauves- purples- plums would compliment your skin. A little eye pencil would be nice too- but for special occaisions. A little tinted gloss would be cool for everyday.
Who wants to worry about make-up as you're lugging around all of those books.
Or putting it on after gym class? Yuk!

If interested you can go to my website www.marykay.com/nicoleeasley and do a virtual makeover. Pick the lady that looks closest to your skintone, hair and eye color and from there it will give you an assortment of colors that would look great with your face (you don't have to buy them you can go to your local makeup retailer and match the colors the best you can!) Have Fun! Also Mary Kay has a great eyeliner but is a little expensive but WORKS GREAT!!!

I would use minimal amounts of makeup. If you do use makeup, use good brands. I would suggest Lancome. It's a little pricey, but it cooperates very well with anyone's face and it causes no skin irritation. I would use a glossy kind of purple, and drag a thin line above your eyes and curl it a little out around the outside of your eyes. Purple would go really nice with hazel/brown eyes.

I love MAC Makeup, it's the greatest brand ever, in my opinion at least. I'm assuming that you have brown eyes, greens and blues always look good with brown eyes, try a thin line across your top line, and a more subtle nude shadow to intensify the eyes a bit more

You can always try a coral green eyeshadow with only a clear lip gloss will do fine. And Revlon eyeliner is pretty amazing.

a brand that i recommend for people of color is BLACK RADIANCE. You can get it at walmart in the make-up department. It's a little less money but its good quality. If you want something more expensive, i would highly recommend IMAN, witch sells at walmart swell. As a dark woman, STAY AWAY from light shaded eye shadow. use browns tones

You're young so don't go heavy on the make-up! Use brown shades of eyeshadow and you really don't NEED eyeliner, just use mascara. I like frosty eyeshadow because Ilike sparkles...hee hee, but yeah, I'm sure you're a beautiful girl and don't feel you need to wear make-up just cuz everyone else does. (i'm a fan of make-up by the way, it makes me feel girlie and pretty and it's just fun to play with. Experiment until you like what you get, ask your mom what she thinks....(scarry idea) that's my advice.) Have fun with your make-up!!!!!!!
