A complete change in the diet will curb it permanently. It's just that very few people can stick with it. Apples and apple cider vinegar are really good for the skin. You can actually put apple cider vinegar on pimples (sadly it reeks!) and it will help clear them up faster. Eating a lot of apples will also decrease acne a bit. If you were to eat the ideal way that the food groups describe you most likely would see a big change though. Also, taking a multi-vitamin will help too. I saw results with that after about 3 weeks of taking it. I also take the amino acid supplement L-Lysine for my skin and that helps too. Eat less grease and sugar and see if you notice a difference.

If you have acne: Put really hot water in a bowl and put your face in the steem. wait 10 minutes, then your acne is all open, so then put ice on all of the acne. Why this helps?: Steem is hot, wich makes your acne open up, and the ice is cold, wich makes the acne close without dirt in it. If you have acne scars; The cheap way: Lemon and Honey. Use both, BUT NOT MIXED and leave it on the scar's for 15 minutes. do that everyday (1 a day)

Kelley E is on target, just so you know. ;)
A whole body cleanse would be a good addition to your routine followed by a round of prebiotics and probiotics. Balance is what you're looking for, not annihilating your skin. Gentle gentle gentle. When we are filled with toxins our body is poisoned so your skin is your largest organ and excretes massive amounts of these chemicals that have built up. There are some herbs that can help with the cleansing process such as yellow dock, burdock, dandelion, licorice, and ideally you should depend upon having a shiny clean system to ensure proper absorption of vitamins and minerals and try to stay away from any processed foods... at all!!!
I understand your problem, I had this my entire teen life and into adulthood. All these products can be bought for very little $ (when compared to Rx costs!) at your local health food store. Stay away from big name brands, go for the smaller less known labels for best results and you'll save even more. You'll also avoid lifelong side effects from the Rx's like reduced immunity and cell and organ damage.

I dont think there is a way to make it go away permently till you get older and it just natualy goes away. It took me a while to find one that worked for me, and as long as i use it every day i stay almost pimple free. Idk if you have tryed it but you might want to, its called Natures Cure, it has an all natural pill that you take every day, and you put on a cream 1-3 times daily. It doesn't dry out my skin like the others do. Good luck, if you find something that works really well let me know!

Disclaimer: This is not a diagnosis or prescription...it's general information.
There's a good reason why the "skin in" approach doesn't work very well. The source of the problem is two feet away from your face.
You've probably got what is commonly called "leaky gut." This is actually a common, under diagnosed problem. First Magazine for Women had an article recently that said at least 20 million women have it. Just as many men get it, too.
It's actually caused by antibiotics in most cases...even from many years before.
The antibiotics (or birth control pills) allow yeast and bad bacteria to overgrow. The yeast pokes holes in the intestinal wall, allowing poorly digested food to pass through...along with the yeast, and the bad bacteria. This creates one big mess.
There is no one vitamin or herb that'll solve this 'multiplex problem', but a combination of things that are needed.
1- PB-8 or another excellent probiotic.
2- olive leaf extract to wipe out the bad yeast
3- glutamine (5 gm 2x a day) or IntestiNew (to patch up the holes in the intestines made by the bad yeast.)
4- a good multi-enzyme to reduce the stress on the digestive tract while things heal up
5- a little zinc to help fight acne
Tea tree oil lotion can also be applied topically to any acne on the skin.
Good luck and be well.
Kelley

I was watching a paid program the other night and I found a really NEAT product. It's not anything like proactive or anything else that requires you to put some type of lotion on your face. It's actually some type of heat device that attacks the pimple at the source. I haven't checked out the site for it but I will when I get the money for it. The website is
http://www.thermacleartv.com
Best of luck.

Try an oatmeal and sugar scrub. Oatmeal will help calm and clear your skin while the sugar will help slough off the dead skin which can be clogging your pores. I have also heard that salicylic acid which is found in most acne medicines is best effective when your face is not wet. Find one where you can dab it on before you go to sleep. Try Murad or Phase2. Don't forget to moisturize!

Wash your face frequently, during the day. And use stuff that has a strong solution of salycilic acid, that does the best job of getting rid of the bacteria on your face that cause the pimples in the first place. If you get the deep, swelling type, that cause big pimples, Walgreens has an electronic device that zaps the bacteria and really works. Costs about 150 bucks but worth it for getting rid of those big swelling ones.
