Mathematics, as used by most people, including scientists and technologists, is only a tool.
A hammer is a tool. Some people have used hammers to kill others. Should the hammer be banned?
For scientists studying mathematics themselves (as a science, not a tool), it is possible to do mathematics without using the actual number 1. Banning it as you suggest would be like banning nails because hammers are used in some murders.

You're asking for a yes or no answer on a question that is way too complex for that. Ethical issues can be raised on just about any form of knowledge or philosophy, be it mathematics, physics, politics, religion, you name it. Good and bad things can be done with any of them.

even if they ban number one. then two will be the new number one. so when will it end? can you imagine math being eliminated? our world would be plunged in to chaos.
