Back in the days... when cars were carbureted, people used to SPRAY water into the throat of the throttle body (using spray bottle) - don't pour. That would create "steam cleaning" of the cylinders. Of course this is all during the engine is running (and mildly revved). But you need more than just a squirt or two.

Before the days of knock sensors, hot rodders would actually mount an air injector (for high compression). Then they found the extra benefit of "steam cleaning".

Good Luck

Yes. The Motor Vac system does this the best. Only available at upper quality shops. The machine cost over $1,000 is why.
Other chemicals are available but do not do a good job.
Old school said to poor water down the intake while running until it almost dies. Do it several times and it will knock it loose. Not to much or you damage the engine.

personally i have never heard of this ea foam crap and i work in auto repair for 14 years. if you want to get rid of carbon. you can do an air induction cleaning. they do it at most shops for about 80 bucks. they will run a pressuized cleaner throught he throttle body and itwill break up the carbon in t-body, intake , and intake valves on the cylinder head. this carbon will restrict air flow and can cause a car to run like crap at idle and also decrease your fuel mileage.

good luck
