I'm gonna go out on a limb here. Don't you have gloves? Quick peek at my "avatar" pic. See the fingerless gloves? They ain't for decoration.

Yeah, I forgot to mention you don't want to fart around with the grips. When the gloss comes off, they are easier to hang on to, but they wear really quick after that.

Go the glove route, dude. You can get a good pair for about $25 which is cheaper than replacing grips.

This seems to be fairly common. The body oil reacts with the rubber, making them feel sticky. try replacing them with aftermarket grips. there are dozens of styles to choose from and a lot of them feel much better than the original grips. Harley also makes accessory replacement grips and while they tend to be rather expensive, they are usually much better quality than the original grips. j&p cycles online has a large selection to choose from

hi, have you been leaving the bike out in the sun? if you must leave it out , put it in the shade or toss something over the bars to cover them. or get yourself a good set of aftermarket grips. washing them will make it worse.

I think they make the stock ones "tacky" on purpose.
Many people change to aftermarket or use covers/wraps for their personal preference.
Mine are wrapped with white mason twine. Gives it a nautical appearance.

I had the same deal. I ended up putting leather covers on them.

Never ride without gloves - unless you like skin grafts, or have a spare pair of hands!

Just wear gloves. Once you ride with gloves, you'll feel naked without them.
