I do not think magazines report to the credit agencies, so I do not think you have anything to worry about. I have received bills before from magazine companies for subscriptions I did not want, and you can write "CANCEL" on the first bill. If they continue to come after that (and they frequently do, and say late, second notice, etc.) I throw them away. I figure I already told them I did not want it. It has happened more than once to me, but it has never been on my credit report (I check it every now and then), and I have never been turned down for credit. My suggestion, respond once, then do not worry about it.

Good luck!

Send them a letter (certified mail/return receipt) telling them that you did not order any magazines and will not pay for them. Don't bother to send back the magazines.

There are companies that just send magazines and then a bill, hoping people will just pay the bill. It's very unlikely you'll ever see anything on your credit report about these magazines.

Write cancel on the bills and send them back with a note that you did not order the merchandise, and they are to stop sending you the items, and include a statement that you are not responsible for anything sent to you.
