I'm very glad, although I have felt like poop before, for many different reasons... Experiencing life is wonderful even when things are bad. It is a requirement to enjoying life that one learns that you can only do so much... that somethings are going to be bad. Not to focus on the bad side as much as the good side. Remembering that pain is part of what makes pleasure so good. And that there are two sides to all things and the one that wins is the one you feed the most... don't feed the bad side! Like sadness...
Note: You are not starving in Africa, you sleep in a bed and wear shoes, you are not enslaved and tortured, you are able to read and write so many great things, you have a sound mind, you have freewill as far as you can tell...
What else can be so darn negative to make for a negative balance over all!!! come on! Focus on the good side of things... Feed happiness instead. It is so easy if you try!

Heh. I've written over twenty-million chapters on negativity into the albums of my life.
I can't really say whether or not I'm glad I was born. It sorta just happened, and I guess before I would have regrets or allow myself any profound depressive state of mind about it....first of all it was my Mom's fault.
Too late to nag her. She's old now.
Our lives are constantly surrounded by negatives. It is to such a degree that one may find it extremely difficult to find much positive.
It is indeed what everyone in this world experiences every day of their lives. You are by no means alone. The real problem is finding the ability to force onesself to focus more upon those things around us that are truly positive.
There are wonderful things all about. Just turn off the television, and go looking for the really great things there are. I don't do it enough either.....and I know I'm not alone.
We're forced to see all of the tragedy, and terror because the media, with the permission of governments think of it as a way to control the masses. It works well too.
What better method of fear-creation than to scare the daylights out of everyone? Their benefit? Terrified little, manic depressives dependant on overpriced pharmaceuticals that add even more to their budgets, and further control.
Hmmmmm........I better go for a walk in the woods. Smell some flowers. Watch some critters. Maybe take up some volunteer work for a poverty-stricken youth organization.
Not too many of us lived charmed lives, and those scant few who do.......well, they're not all happy all the time either.
Get a cat, name it "Barf" and hug it all the time. It will be annoyed, but it's better than no hugs at all. Cat therapy. It is goooood!

in my opinion

It makes no difference whether I am glad I was born. I was, and now I have to deal with that. Their may have been many negatives in your life, and it would be unfair to say that everybody has negatives in their life (i.e. - my father-in-law is the luckiest man I have ever seen. He managed to get a 2008 candy-apple red corvette for FREE). However, your chances at a good life are not over yet. There are still plenty of chances and, believe it or not, Everything changes every five years or so. People and things come and go, and places change all the time. If your time is not now, wait a few years. If your life still sucks, I'd put less thought into the cards you are dealt and more thought into how you are playing them.

everyone has problems in their lives, everyone has issues they have to deal with... some people are forced to deal with bigger things than others. But regretting your existence will lead you where exactly? Life is full of ups and downs and if at a certain point your down then only way to go is up... negative things make you stronger and help make, you. So sometimes i wish i wasn't born but other days i'm so glad i am. When your worried about the negatives, think of all the positives... even the small things : )

Yes, I am glad to be born. And I too, have had many negatives in my life, but you know what, I learn from all the negativities. Whether it's something you did or something that has been done to you, you can learn from it and make yourself even stronger. I believe that people that have had more struggles can be stronger. You can also take things you've learned and use them to help others with the same problems and make helping others become your purpose.

I hope you feel better about yourself and God Bless!

I am very happy to be here. Been through a lot in my life. I cannot say I would have it any other way. What I have been through has given me a deeper capacity to live and love. If my life would of been good every single moment I would be a very ignorant and shallow person. My pain has carved into me an appreciation for life and beauty. So you can either succumb to the negativity and be like many people are, "woa is me, life sucks and the world owes me" or you can have a positive attitude and wake up every day ready to give and receive life and love. You are going to have bad days. I welcome them as a time of reflection and comparison. I let myself feel those feelings and then I buck up and move on. I don't dwell or wallow in it. It is a useless endeavor.

I know what you mean, i have alot of negatives....but i'm glad i was born, its really when you turn those negatives and create positives, that your life begins. Sometimes we are born and want to go back into our dreams....i've always said that dreams are like our children, they need to be nourished and protected, but allowed to run free. When you make your dreams a reality, all those negatives will be worth it. Atleast try to think positive

I am not glad, no I am not, but I have had some positive experiences valuable enough to support purpose in living. I have hope and I have will and I have purpose. Now, if I can make it to competency, love, caring and wisdom, I shall have the whole set....not bloody likely though.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative. You are normal.

Yes I am glad to be born.
I have got many negative things in my life. But I do believe "Everything has a reason".
So, even I'm in a bad condition, I'm gonna think to positively that it has a reason for me.

since this is in philosophy im just gunna say what my priest says...life is filled with reaccuring negative moments, and positive things only come every once in a while. so the pleasure( or positive things) that we seek is just visible and noticable in very few moments in our lives.... u are just concentrating on what is going wrong in ur life..try to see what good is happening and ull feel a little better:) and yes im glad to be born.
