Why do you allow than politicans to driven your country?

I believe it exists -- I believe it can work --

but I also believe that it is even more dangerous that a representative republic unless there are sufficient safeguards in place to prevent abuse of power by the majority

The system was set up purposely (and wisely) to avoid "Mob Rule" scenarios. Let's say 75% of the people in the country wanted black people restricted or exiled. In a direct democracy, it would happen. We will keep changing the politico till we find some good ones, we have so far.

All people would not be able to hold power in country and even represent. There always must be officials who represent the whole nations when they go to visit other countries. Also people in power must be educated, prepared that knows about politics, ecomony etc. It cannot be anyone! If you had in your country 60% farmers and 40% aristocracy, what side would you prefer to drive your country? I do not think then direct democracy would work!

ALL democracy is a sham, even "tolerant" liberal democracy.

We're busy working. Could you imagine if we all had to spend all day reviewing new proposals for the country state or locality and then voted on them? We wouldn't have time for anything else.

Most countries have this, apart from the USA/China/Korea where it is full dictatorship

if you want anything to get done, it's very difficult to get everyone to agree on something--unless it's a very small community.
