Why does this not surprise me? We dropped Verizon DSL about 2 years ago because they are unreliable and do not support their product. Did you ever wonder why it is so cheap?
My recommendation is that you call them again and ask them to get a tech person to your house or to the box on the street near your house PRONTO. Tell them you are going to switch to cable modem if they do not solve the problem by the end of the week. Be sure and keep track of all the other companies you have already called who have tested your equipment, like your modem, router and computer companies. Keep an ongoing record.

well lets start at the beginning,, first you need to find out if Verizon use the the fair access policy that means you are only allowed to download so many megabytes in twenty 24 hours

like me with mine ISP. I can only download 200 meg a day, after that it becomes a wast of time being on line it is so slow it takes 5 minutes to download a web page,

now to check what is going on is unplug or turn of the modem off, then uninstall the modem software, and verizon software if any installed is installed, through the add and remove software.

then go into control panel and remove the modem, from the device manager, reboot the system. Read the instructions that came with the modem to make sure you get the setting right, reinstall the modem software, read the instructions for verizon DSL to make sure you have the setting right, reinstall verizon software if any needs installing,

next plug in or turn on the modem, Windows will find the new hardware, and set it up, click onto your web browser to get on the internet,

now if this does not work as it should then contact your modem manufacturers either by the phone help line or website, and ask them for help, and then do the same with verizon

It is very possible that it could be the place that you live has a lot of users log on at that time or in other words that may be a peak hour which could definitely end up booting you do to a bandwidth overload. If this is the case then there really is nothing you can do but just keep trying to reconnect once you get booted.

the only thing i can think of is if there is a restriction settings that kick you off automatically at 815pm. I know routers have the ability for a user to set certain time restraints on certain IP or MAC address to access internet. If you don't have a router then you may have someone who is hacking you from outside with a proxy to kick you out of the internet.
