I was diagnosed with Endometriosis 2 years ago. My first surgery (laparoscopy) was both diagnostic and therapeutic. I was relatively pain-free following the surgery for a little over a year. My 2nd laparoscopy was done earlier this year because I was in severe pain (pelvic, leg, and lower back). It got to be so unbearable that I began having difficulty walking. After the 2nd laparoscopy, the pain seemed better, but not totally gone. Over the past 2 weeks the pain has been severe.

I'm just wondering if there are other women who have dealt with this (or are going through this now) and can maybe shed some light on things for me.

Yes. I am the same way. Unfortunately, this is a lifelong disease. If you shut down your period completely like I did, it gets rid of these symptoms but only for a few months. It is called medically induced menopause. A doctor has put me on depo shots once a month (instead of the normal once every three months) and that stopped it, but I had really bad moodiness and I cried for no reason. Then we tried zoladex, which is used to treat cervical cancer, endo, and prostate cancer. This was an intense treatment. I had no pain, but I had hot flashes, mood swings, I gained weight, I had severe insomnia, no sex drive at all, and a few other personal female problems. I have also had two laproscopy surgeries somewhere between those treatments. You need to pick up this book:

I own a copy and it is amazing. I really read a lot about how certain foods and toxins can affect your endo and make your pain worse. For example caffiene. I tried some of the suggestions in there and it worked. I also take daily vitamins and that helps too. Let me know if you ever want to know anything else my email is katstar03@yahoo.com. It is rough but you just have to learn how to manage it.

I was 30 when I was first diagnosed with endometriosis, after the unbelievable heavy bleeding during the periods. I had my first diagnostic surgery in 1998 and they also removed some of the lesions and the cysts on that occasion. From that point on it was a crazy dance with my life revolving around my disease and the days of my life going by me as if I was just a spectator. I was on Lupron that offered some help but destroyed me financially.

My parents were basically living on the verge of poverty just so that they can help me pay for my Lupron. I had a partial hysterectomy in 2005 and I was a bit better for approximately a year. And after endometriosis and pain returned in 2006, I remember that I just gave up any hope that I will lead a normal life ever again.

I was never able to maintain a healthy relationship and I gave up on that, too. I found out about this eBook (http://preview.tinyurl.com/EndometriosisB ) on the internet and the few clicks changed everything. I could not believe that I have been suffering needlessly for so long. I will not be able to have children because my fallopian tubes and ovaries are removed, but I am just thankful that I am again able to lead a healthy full life...

Yes, my endometriosis recurs and I've had 4 surgeries for it. One to diagnose and 3 to check the status of. With my 3rd surgery it took me 6 months to recover from the surgery. With the surgery I had last year I don't know how I did recovery wise because I got a new pain problem that has made it difficult for me to tell how things went. I'm just hoping and praying that my endo isn't trying to come back so soon after surgery #4.

I've had others say, oh go to doctors that are more experienced with endo (and that means going out of State, and also money I don't have) but as I have also told them besides the money issue even if I went, the endo is still going to act up again. Because of the way my body deals with it.

Feel free to e-mail or IM me off site any time.

You really need to read "Endometriosis Bible & Violet Protocol" by Zoe Brown (also available in electronic format here: http://www.endometriosisbible.info ). It's about how to eradicate endometriosis disease forever. It worked for me, you will see results in only a matter of weeks. Good Luck!
