In the books Dumbledore is described as a kind, patient, caring, charismatic sort of person. The actor who plays him in the first 2 movies is just that. But the actor who plays him in the 3rd and 4th movies (especially the 4th) acts like a total butthole, totally unlike the Dumbledore in the books. Is he any nicer in the 5th movie?

Pretty much the same in the 5th movie. I was wondering why Dumbledore was so grumpy in this movie also but I think it went along with the theme and events that were happening. I think he does a good job though he looks (as did the previous actor) as I thought Dumbledore would which is nice.

I'm probably going to end up giving you the same answer as those other people who got here before me.

We don't see that much Dumbledore in the fifth movie, but when we do, there is a fight scene between him and Voldemort, and I can't honestly see the first Dumbledore doing that. (Haha, fight scene as in with magic, of course) I can't remember where else he is in the fifth movie, other than apologizing to Harry for being away, or whatever. So, um, no, he's not any better, and unfortunately he never will be. I wonder if he knows everyone hates him.....I do agree, though, I loved the first Dumbledore. "Alas! Earwax!" is one of the lines I can think of when someone says Dumbledore. The second Dumbledore should at least be trying to replicate the first one's acting. It was perfect.

Well, he's okay. I was soooooooo disappointed when the 1st Dumbledore died. I was having a lot of trouble grasping how The new Dumbledore wsa going to be all calm and stuff about the prophecy and all. I think the new one does as best as he can to act like the nice, kind Dumbledore we book readers all know and love. After all... he is an Irish man. And the first Dumbledore was older, which made his voice softer and he was probably a little more patient.

in the 5th movie we dont see alot of him, if youve read the book then you would know that he trys to avoid Harry cuz he knows voldermort can get into harrys mind and doesnt want him to know about the order. bty the second movie has the same actor as 3 4 5 the actor who play him in the first movie died shortly after its release

In the later books he does get a bit more stingy and secretive and not so sweet. I think it is fitting, but i haven't seen the 5th either.
Wanna go with me?

he really isnt in the movie so much until the end..... but i didnt really enjoy due to the fact they was an annoying lil kid asking dumb questions..... but other then that i think that for what he did doesnt show him as caring but maybe i will notice it more if i watched it without disturbance..lol...
