Could my A/C not working be because The engine runs really really really hot all the time and the thermostat is bad and a radiator hose was leakin coolant while driving and needs replaced (im gettin it all done friday including spark plugs and wires) Also is there anything else to look at as far as why the engine runs sooo hot? really long shot

if the rad was so hot it drove up the high side temps high enough to rise the pressures in the a/c system it would not work

but that would be a very long shot and have about the same chance as me waking up tomarrow with a million dollars

The thermostat will do it. Also the leaking hose will run the coolant low. That sounds like the cause to me, at least that is a good start.

It's low on coolant. Go to parts store. Buy coolant refiller can thing. Attach to valve on AC system and recharge it.
The A/C system is basically independent ( I believe) from the the car's heating/cooling system.

You cannot recharge your A/C system and have it work right.

It must go to a shop where they purge the old freon and oil, repair the leaks, and recharge at the correct pressures, using their High/Low freon pressure gauge system.
