You will fit fine. I'm 6'5 230. I don't know if you mean CBR600RR or CBR600F4i but the F4i has the most open ergos of the two. The F4i also has the least power but I wouldn't worry about any 600 being too powerful. Whatever you do, don't get a brand new bike for a first bike. I would suggest an 01-06 F4i.

I may only be 5'5" and 160 lbs, but I love my 600F4i. Though i probably would have went for the RR if the price didn't go up and the insurance wasn't more, but hey. I totally recommend a used bike, as my first was a 250 ninja and I had to lay it down in the 3rd month. Rider training is good too. However I don't recommend going much higher than a 750 until you are 100% confident in your ability. Good luck and ride safe

That sounds about right. I started with a CB350 Honda and I'm 6'2" 220 at the time. After about 9 months I went up to a 750. The 350 seemed small, but it was easier to handle.
So the 600 is a good trade off. Just take it easy starting out. Once you become too comfortable with one, that's when they will bite you.

All bikes fit all people differently, just like shoes.
Your going to struggle a little with your first bike (lack of experience)
by this i mean more knowing what you want in a bike.
Just being 6'4" 250lbs is not enough information. Inseam will change the fit.
Best to go to some dealerships and sit on some bikes, see how your legs feel. if your a little cramped things will only get worse on a long ride.
Have fun riding, and consider used the first round. Most likely to drop a bike in the first 6 months of riding.

Steve, like me you will dwarf the bike, but don't let that deter you!
A 600 nowadays is a stonking first bike!
Thats what I started on 11 years ago on the Kawasaki ZX6R.
I'm now on the ZX10R, its a weapon and I would get no arguments from anyone for saying that!!!
Size wise, you will find that all sportsbikes have an aggressive feel to them but to taller people they seem a bit more comfortable because we can reach everything easier.
The only thing you might find cramped is your legs!
If you are buying a bike like that though you will be purchasing it for the performance and not cruiser comfort but don't worry, they aren't that bad if you are using them for what they are intended for!
It's good to see someone saying they intend on doing some rider training! Good on you, I say!
Make sure you get some decent leathers, gloves, boots, back protector and helmet!
It cost a bit to outlay bit when you hit the tarmac for the first time and walk away you will be pleased you spent the money!
Good Luck!
Troy.

Yea i think so.. I think a 600 is a good beginner bike.. epecially at your size.. Im 6'3 about 200 but im got a yamaha R6.. The Honda cbr 600 is good too.. U should go with it if u got the money but I know the yamaha looks better to me and is cheaper but the 600 got the dual exhaust right under the seat which is real coo.. get a 600cc..

Kawasaki ZZR600 has more leg room, if you are looking at older bikes. The downside to sportbikes is higher pegs. Everything else should be fine.

You sit on it and find out if its physical dimensions are suitable for you, but as a new rider you should not get it anyway.
