Let's get in touch here, are we going to blame Washington because those in this town did not inspect their bridges, or their levees?

Get a grip guy, we can't be everywhere, that is why there are officials at the State and County level to handle these things.

,One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Those bridges have been decaying for decades and they are the States responsibilities. If you want to blame someone, blame the state legislatures for the bridges. On the war, Congress is every bit as culpable as the President.

That is the most unnecessary $500 Billion that could have ever been spent. He went in braking our Constitution with preemptive strike , killing thousands of our troops maiming thousands , killing thousands of innocent Iraq people for what, because the Republicans sit back and let Bush steal not one but 2 elections. They knew he was wanting to do this for Da Da and Oil and they also knew that he was a complete nit wit with 91 IQ mind you with a IQ of a idiot. He want help those people in in Minneapolis rebuild that bridge that is just big talk just like he did in New Orleans. They have seen their last of old Chimpy , he needs that money to waste on Iraq, to hell with America. He wants to get that oil.

Before you ask that question you should know who was really responsible and to what party they belonged. Seems to me US 35 has had another incedent 40 years ago over the Ohio river called Silver Bridge. Could it be that Kennedy and Johnson paid too much to Vietnam? Can't blame that one on Nixon.

"Levees are breaking and bridges are falling down." Sounds like a local and state concern to me - democratically controlled, I might add.

Where were you when two skyscrapers fell down?
Get a grip.

Seams that you have all the answers, you should go to Iraq ( paying your own way, if you have a job and still aren't living on mommy and daddy's handouts) and straiten everything out. These folks have been at war with each other for 6000 years do you think W has all the answers.

If you didn't vote don't complain. If you did yes i believe it was a waste we should have waited and tried to get more backing from other countries and more intel. Or just assasinated saddam though if history tells us anything that back fires most of the time.

i dont think we should have gone to iraq, and i agree it was a waste of money. but i dont think there is a logical connection between iraq and a bridge collapsing. dems who promised to get us out of iraq are building bridges to nowhere in alaska and havent made one proposal for infrastructure legislation since december. the house controls the money, maybe we need to give our congressmen a call.

Eh, it is out of the average citizen's control. If you don't like the members of the government that make such choices for our country, group together and get them out of office. I suppose the Democratic party can only continue to b**** and whine like usual.

And what we haven't thrown away there, we're throwing away here on unConstitutional programs like REAL ID and National Animal ID that won't accomplish what they claim it will.
