I mean, if they want to dance on stage and in the videos like strippers, why not just work in a stripper bar? As far as I'm concerned, there is no difference between what Beyonce and all the others do and what the strippers do. They just sing while doing it. And the photos shots are soft porn.

its not the singers in charge of marketing, audiance targeting, or dancing
its the production company or label they work for making all the calls.
and yes sex sells escpecilly when the majority of music today is aimed at teens, and "fresh" club goers. (early 20s)

I totally agree with you!!! I think they take away from their performance with all that crap they call dancing. Maybe it's because they are trying to cover up the fact that are uncomfortable up there on the stage. I do think they can sing, but all that "stripper Dancing" needs to go.

SEX SELLS !!
sex appeal is what attracts people[men/boys in general] to female artists.
some say "the more they show, they bigger they get"
why do you think almost ALL female artists are "molded" into anorexic/model/playboy figures ??
once a female artist hit 18, they become "sex symbols".
as degrading as it can be/get, it's how the music business runs.
sex is what sells an artist. some female artists aren't even the best singers so they put more of themselves on the table because its what helps them step up in the music business.

I agree. I think sex is selling a little too well now. Everything is about image! Pick up any magazine and read about diet secrets. I think all the singing that are female are shunted to the side if they aren't "pretty" enough...

they are taking there clothes off. therefore, they are not strippers. sure, they dance the same. thats because the fact of the matter is, sex sells. but they ARNT dancing like strippers. have you ever been to a strip club yourself?
