I have 3 questions about my pregnant white molly:

1) I bought her on July 14 and she was already pregnant. When she will give birth.

2) What will happen if i am not here, will she or the other fish eat them? (there is a small castle that the other fish are to big to get into)

3) what should i do when she starts to have the babies (i have a 5 gallon tank, can i put the babies in that)

1- the gestation period is 28 days, so yours is due very very soon, look for the squared appearance benath her head, if she has that she is only 1-2 days away, here is an example of a guppy

2&3- I never put my mollies in a breeder, because it stresses them out, instead I just leave them in the tank and they breed without me doing anything, and a lot of fry survive because my tank is very good planted with live plants, so the fry can hide in there
I have now 10 fry which are about 3 weeks old, and just found another batch of about another 10 fry which are about 1 week old, I never seen them because they were hiding out in the plants

Hope that helps
Good luck

1. You can never really tell, so you should place her in a breeding trap once you see her start to show signs of pregnancy. If you don't have a breeding trap, I highly suggest that you get one.
2. If you get a breeding trap, you don't have to worry about them being eaten. The fry will fall into a bottom section which the mother can't get to.
3. Yes, you can place all the babies into the 5 gallons tank and feed them brine shrimp or fry food.

2)she will have them very soon, i sugest puting her in hatchery found at petco or a pet store, they prevent the mom from eating her babies.

2)the other fish will prob will try to eat them.there may be a few that live but most will die if u leave them in there.

3)put her in the hatchery and when she is done put her in her regular tank and put the babies in the extra 5 gallon with a weak filter(so it does not hurt babies)also feed them the food u give your other fish but instead crush it into very small pieces. good luck chris

adding one of these to your setup will protect them

scoop them up (or her) and put them in there until they are big enough
