why does McDonalds add dextrose to there salt, after reading the ingredients on the salt packet i was surprised to find that they add dextrose to it. shouldn't Salt only be salt

Mcdonald's doesn't do anything...they call up the salt company and say HEY we need salt..and they company throws their name on it.

Dextrose is for perserving it longer for self life

There is one major brand of salt which has sugar listed as an ingredient. Very scary.

dunno. dextrose is only glucose, or blood sugar, harmless, but i dont have a packet here and dont suppose it can hurt you in anyway, might be a filler to save money.
