it asks for my deposit type and gives me the option of amount, percent, balance. I don't know what that means. Then it asks me to fill it the amount/percent number. I don't know what that is either. Maybe it wants to know how much of my paycheck it wants deposited into my checking account, I don't know, please help if you know the answer

how much do you want in checking and savings, or you can put 100% in one or the other

It wants to know if you would like to split your deposit into checking/savings. (Some people do). The % is if you wanted 1/2 of your pay to go to another account.
Otherwise, just have the 1 account on the sheet and 100% will go in the account.
Best wishes on the job

It's probably giving you the option of splitting your paycheck into more than one account.
For example, you can have them deposit a fixed amount of $500 in one account and the balance (whatever's left over) in another.
Or, you could have them deposit 40% in one account and 60% in another.

Check "balance" - that probably means the whole check would be deposited. "Percent" and "amount" sounds like you have the option of just having part of your check deposited.

I'm guessing it's giving you the option:
Amount=fixed dollar amount,
Percent=percent of cheque,
Balance=whole balance of cheque.

If you pick the first or second, it will then ask for another
account, where it should put the remainder.

It seems to me it's asking how much of your pay check to deposit into your checking account.

I filled mine out on my company's website too. (this is about 2.5 years ago) but I selected "balance" and 100%.
