Honestly, the only animes I have seen thusfar have been long ones, such as Naruto, Inuyasha, etc. I like these two in particular, but I do wish that they were void of fillers. This comming semester, I plan to start watching various other animes, mostly short ones that a friend of mine has downloaded. I would prefer this, because, as you said, its straight to the point, and doesnt take up so dang much time to watch the whole thing.

Well Trigun is excellent, it's about 25-27 episodes long...Berserk is 25 episodes, not as good as the manga, but excellent visuals nonetheless.
