No. I am a probation officer and have a number of people on my caseload who plead guilty to "delivery of a controlled substance." Many of these people were middlemen. Someone asked them, "Can you get me a rock?", and they said yes. They took the first person's $20, and brought them a rock of cocaine. If the "first person" was working undercover, then they are a drug dealer, under the law. Would you execute them?
Most times they are addicts, helping deal for money to support their addiction.

I don't condone drug dealing, but PEOPLE CHOOSE TO USE DRUGS. The dealers just supply them. No drug dealer puts a gun to anyone's head and forces them to spend their money on drugs. Think about it. There are worst criminals out there who deserve the death penalty, but do not get it. Most murderers don't get the death penalty, and there are also some repeat child molesters and sex offenders who also deserve the death penalty and do not get it. But then again, maybe those bastards should sit in jail for the rest of their lives with other inmates having free access to them morning, noon, and night. The death penalty is too good for those fu**ers.

Drug dealers are the lowest of the low. They are dirty, rotten and would cheat their own Mother. The drug dealer does not own up to Responsibility when someone dies. They blame it on the user. They are in total denial and will live the rest of their lives thinking that. If there were not drug dealers, there would be no addict. So we need to go to the rotten roots and stomp them out. Death Penalty , depend on the state. Drug dealers will NEVER accept the fact that they have ruined enormous numbers of lives and even caused Children to suffer from their greed. A big time drug dealer , should be hung.

Considering the damage and deaths drugs create; I think executing the dealers is unfair. Life sentences with the knowledge that the dealers' families were left penniless would be enough to teach them remorse.

No, the law applies different punishments to different crimes for a reason. Dealing drugs does not warrant the death penalth, though it does warrant some hard time in prison. We can barely get them to push the death penalty on cold-blooded murder anyway, how you think they're going to willingly sentence a drug dealer to death?

I agree that those crimes are terrible and the human beings who committed them could be critically punished. i do no longer think of the dying penalty device prevents or maybe reduces crime and it makes irreversible errors. i beg you to ask your self notwithstanding if the dying penalty is the main clever punishment or if existence devoid of parole (meaning what it says, is available in 40 8 states, and, at a fragment of the cost of the dying penalty) makes greater appropriate sense. The supplies i'm itemizing can help you detect out with regards to the clever themes.

Personally, I think most drugs should be legalized, regulated and verified for content --- then anyone can take anything they want by making an informed choice of what to put in their bodies.
