I think he's gonna get a real kick outta listening to me talking nasty to my girlfriend. I can put off opening the cocaine dealership for 6 months in order to avoid having my head chopped off, how 'bout you? I mean, the Democrats passed this legislation because the Republicans made them be scared about terrorism. Why shouldn't I be afraid too??

Gotta love that sunset provision!! Kinda' tamps down all that Bush-paranoia don't ya think? Besides, would you want Hillary listening in if she gets elected? ...oh, I forgot, she can just go snatch up anybody's FBI jacket any time she wants....

My question is what you call "Satire":
1. I personally have nothing to hide, so I'm not worried much by the new law.
2. I was suggesting there might be someone who's activities cause them to be worried about the new FISA, but that perhaps preventing terrorism is more important than protecting a drug dealers' "right to privacy"
3. The constitution is NOT just a "damned piece of paper", but it is also NOT a suicide pact
4. I have always believed that the people who say they want to kill us all probably want to kill us all.
5. Given the choice between having my phone tapped or having the head-chopping Sharia Law-givers running this country, I'll take the phone tap 8 days a week.

That's it - Life if full of worse or worser choices, and I have no trouble choosing when the margin for error is thin. What happened today is a good thing. The only part that bothers me is that DEMOCRATS ARE SUCH WEASELS about it!!!

I hope Dick Cheney is listening on the other line because I always have a few choice words for that bozo. Those tards in the Bush administration, look at Gonzales, are too dumb to wipe their own aszz. I doubt that they can understand half the stuff they are in such a hurry to listen to. Anyone with an IQ higher than a pretzel's can talk above their heads! They are total morons and I would volunteer to give them written transcripts of all of my phone calls so they can be sure to catch all of the disrespect and insults.

There are millions upon millions of phone calls made every day. President Bush does not have some special phone line where he listens to your thrilling Sunday chats with Aunt Ethel from Des Moines, Iowa.

What you are referring to is a sophisticated computer program that detects likely terrorist activity, based on the call patterns made, relating to international calls to suspected overseas terrorists. The computer is not recording what is being said; it is just pointing out likely terrorist phone calls. When a terrorist link is probable, then they can start listening to the calls. It's not as if some FBI agent is listening to random calls all day, hoping to get lucky.

Not only has this program intercepted terrorist plots, it has kept terrorists from having ease of communication, and this is one of the main reasons we have not had any more terrorist attacks since 9-11.

Got it?

I shouldn't even respond to this idiot, but what the hell. There is a reason we haven't been attacked since 9-11. And if we were to attacked, you nuttless panty wearing socialist would be crying that the president didn't do enough to prevent it. You don't have anything to worry about if you don't have anything to hide. But, that is kind of hard to explain a simpleton.

Yeah... maybe he'd hear the 911 call I make to the fire department because having him and government at large in my bedroom is making it much too crowded. I'm sure it's a safety code violation and a fire hazard.
