Assume that a steel pipe is embedded in the concrete floor of a bare room. The inside dia. of the pipe is .06 inches larger than the dia.of a ping-pong ball that is resting at the bottom of the pipe. You are in the room with 6 other people with the following objects: 100 ft of clothesline, A carpenter's hammer ,A chisel, A box of wheaties, A file, A wire coat hanger, A monkey wrench, A light bulb. List as many ways as you can think of to get the ball out of the pipe without damaging the ball, tube,or floor.

The pipe is 4 inches from floor to top of pipe

1) blow perpendicular to the top of the pipe. via bernouli's equations, the pressure will decrease in the top part of the tube, and the small amount of air below the ball to begin with should force the ball up.
2) crush the wheaties into powder, and add them to the pipe. slowly continue to add the powder while hitting the pipe with the hammer gently. the buoyancy of the ball, along with the vibration of the hammer, will continue to bring it to the top of the powder until it is within reach
3) tear off part of the wheaties box and curl it into a tube shape. slip it into the pipe, surrounding the ball, then curl the tube tighter. lift the ball out.
4) take the plastic wrapping from the wheaties box out, and place some on the lightbulb (electricity required). once the plastic begins to melt, quickly scrape some off with the chisel and then touch it to the ball. when the plastic cools, the ball should be attached and easily retrievable (the plastic should separate easily after cooling)
5) urinate in the pipe. the ball will float to the top. this may be considered causing damage to the ball >.<
6) take the end of the wrench and dent the side of the ball. untwist the coathanger and make one end curved. use the curved end to slide the ball up. take the lightbulb (electricity required) and place it under the dented ball, rotating the balls lowly. the heat from the bulb will cause the gas inside to expand, making the ball snap back to normal shape (beer pong knowledge ftw)

It would help to know how deep the pipe is. A pipe with a depth of six inches offers more possibilities than one that is 20 feet deep,

Blowing directly into the pipe will increase the air pressure and may pop the ball right out.

It is possible, though much less likely, that blowing across the top of the pipe would produce a sufficient partial vacuum so that the ball is lifted to the top.

At risk of being offensive, if six people urinate into the pipe, it is probable they could float the ball to the surface.

It is possible that the pipe could be unscrewed from the floor using the monkey wrench.

If the coat hanger is straightened and a slight bend worked into one end, the coat hanger could be pushed by the ball until it comes into contact with the bottom of the pipe and bends further. Lifting the wire might then lift the ball.

If the coat hanger is bent into a helix and pushed to the bottom, the ball might be raised by rotating the wire.

If the pipe is quite short, one could crush the Wheaties and pour them very slowly into the pipe, stirring with the chisel and rapping the pipe with the hammer to work the cereal around and under the ball.

Added after "4-inch" information was supplied...

The wire could easily be cut into two pieces to make excellent chopsticks.

The clothesline might be damped down around the ball with the chisel and file and then lifted.

Have all of the people urinate into the pipe. As the pipe fills the ball will rise to the surface.

how deep is the pipe? if you wet your finger and place it on the ball you can pick it up. shine the light on it and the heat will cause it to rise.
